A contemporary hand-dyed silk lampshade

Our inspiration for this beautiful silk lampshade comes from the (sometimes!) gorgeous Scottish summer sky.

We’ve created every element of this lampshade care and purpose. We start by hand-dying beautiful dupioni silk to achieve a stunning blue ombre effect. The result is a beautiful blue which gently shifts from a deep sky blue to calming pastel.

We embellish each shade with ethically sourced goose feathers which we also hand-dye in our workshop. Finally a custom blue cotton braid is applied.

The lampshade is lined with matt gold which glows warmly when the shade is lit and that’s why we recommend using a warm white bulb with this shade. The soft, warm, golden glow brings the silk to life.

This lampshade design is part of a limited collection, we’ll create no more than twelve. The design is available in three sizes:

Small – 250mm diameter

Medium – 350mm diameter

Large – 450mm diameter

This shade is intended for use as a table lamp.

We recommend a maximum 40 watt/450 lumen warm white bulb for use with this shade.
